Stoney and Bill Question Game
iii. A description of how each Daily On-Air Game is played is as follows:
September 30 and October 3, 2014
Stoney and Bill Question Game – Two contestants are chosen. Stoney and Bill will ask five questions to the contestants. For each question, the first contestant who correctly answers it receives a point. After five questions, each contestant may risk up to the number of points he/she has from the previous five questions on a final question. If a contestant correctly answers the final question, he/she receives the number of points risked. The contestant with the highest number of points after the final question is the winner. In the event of a tie, another question will be asked and the same process as the final question will be followed.
October 1, 2014
Hot Potato – Two (2) Contestants will be selected on-air as described above. The Contestants will be given a category from which they will have to list items that fall under this category in alternating turns (i.e. U.S. state capitals: Austin, Tallahassee, Sacramento). Contestants will go back and forth alternating responses until one contestant can no longer respond correctly. The Station will randomly select who will answer first each round. Once a Contestant incorrectly answers or fails to answer after a maximum of one (1) second has passed, the other Contestant receives one (1) point. There will be up to three (3) rounds of "Hot Potato." The Contestant with the most points after the three (3) rounds will be deemed the Qualifier.
October 2, 2014
20 Questions – Stoney and Bill will pick the name of a celebrity/athlete, but will not tell the listeners. The Contestant will have the opportunity to ask Station personnel up to twenty (20) yes or no questions to help determine the name of the celebrity/athlete. The Contestant must try to ensure the answers to their question(s) are a "yes." When a Contestant asks a question whose answer is "no," then the Contestant is disqualified and Station personnel will selected a new Contestant in the manner described above to ask new questions and the Game will proceed in the same manner. A Contestant can ask up to twenty (20) questions total. If a Contestant makes an incorrect guess at the name of the celebrity/athlete, they will be disqualified and Station personnel will selected a new Contestant in the manner described above to ask new questions and the Game will proceed in the same manner. The first Contestant to correctly guess the first AND last name of the selected celebrity/athlete wins.
Losing in a Daily On-Air Game will result in the designated caller not being named a Qualifier. If a Contestant does not answer correctly, another cue to call will be announced and another Contestant will be chosen in the same manner described in Section 1b1 depending on the Daily On-Air Game. The same designated Daily On-Air Game will be played for the new Contestant with the same questions and answers, unless otherwise specified.
