Power restored for over 2,000 people after equipment problems cause outages, DTE Energy says

(CBS DETROIT) — Power has been restored for Over 2,000 DTE Energy customers after an hours-long outage Sunday due to reported equipment problems.

According to DTE Energy's outage map, over 1,000 Westland residents lost power around 9:27 a.m. Crews restored power Sunday evening. 

Over 1,000 customers in Rochester hills also lost power. Outages there began around 6:26 a.m. and power was restored around 3 p.m.

The company says an equipment problem caused both outages.
