Drive-by Shooting Leaves 1 Dead, 1 Injured In Detroit

DETROIT (WWJ) - Police in Detroit are investigating a shooting which has left one person dead and another injured.

According to authorities, a 26-year-old woman is dead after being shot in the head, and a 27-year-old man in the same car was shot in the shoulder.

The shooting occurred in the area of Grand River and Livernois, just after 1:00 A.M. Monday.

The driver, a 24-year-old woman was at the wheel of the Bonneville when a car pulled up next to them and opened fire, she was not injured.

She saw an EMS unit nearby and pulled up to it.

The injured man was taken to Henry Ford Hospital and is in temporary serious condition.
