Draymond Green Announces He's A Warrior For The Next 5 Years

OAKLAND (CBS SF/CBS DETROIT) - Draymond Green is sticking with the Warriors, announcing Wednesday night that he would sign a new contract with Golden State.

Green made his announcement on Bleacher Report after agreeing to a five-year contract with the team.

The deal is reportedly worth $85 million.

"I'm ecstatic. I'm proud to say I'll be a Warrior for at least the next five years," Green said in the announcement.
Golden State beat the Cleveland Cavaliers to win their first NBA Championship in four decades.

Earlier in the evening Twitter fluttered with talk of the Michigan State University basketball standout and hometown favorite in talks with other teams - which could have included the Detroit Pistons.

No details on the talk or lack of talk with the Pistons but for now Green looks firmly like a Warrior.
