Don't Get Comfortable With Monday's Balmy Weather

DETROIT (CBS Detroit) Metro Detroit residents woke to a Monday morning surprise -- nearly balmy temperatures in November.

But don't get too comfortable. It's Michigan, wait a minute and the weather will change.

Meteorologist Dean Devore says while a high of 57 degrees is expected today, by the end of the week highs will be only in the 30s and nighttime lows will dip down into the 20s.

"We will figure about a 30 to 35 degree drop," Devore said, adding Wednesday's high will be 38 or 39 degrees; snow is expected Thursday.

The worst will be to the west of metro Detroit, he added.

There is a bright spot: "No big snow for us, maybe some snow showers on Thursday," Devore said.

The Upper Peninsula is already getting its arctic blast - with upwards of two feet of snow forecast for the next couple days.
