Domino's Pizza Latest Victim Of Cyber Crime

ANN ARBOR (WWJ) -- Michigan-based Domino's Pizza is the latest major company to be hit by cyber hackers. The company said that the data of more than 600,000 customers in Belgium and France has been stolen.

An anonymous Twitter user is threatening to publish that info unless Domino's pays a cash ransom. Matthew Green, a computer science professor at Johns Hopkins University, said that what Domino's is experiencing is far from uncommon.

"I think that this is the new reality when it comes to security," Green said. "We have a lot of information that is up online -- companies aren't doing a very good job of securing it and there are people out there who will try to get their hands on it and do bad things with it."

The hackers say they've stolen customers' full names, addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, passwords and pizza delivery instructions.
