Dollar Store Employee Forced To At Gunpoint To Empty Registers

ROYAL OAK TWP. (WWJ) - Michigan State Police are looking for the suspect in an armed robbery at the Family Dollar in Royal Oak Township.

Police received a call Saturday night from a cashier who was hiding in the store office after someone with a gun knocked on the locked front door.

According to authorities the assistant manager fled when she saw the suspect, and ran to the back of the store and out the emergency exit.

The man approached her and ordered her back into the store. He then made her empty two registers before fleeing.

Anyone with information is asked to call police.
