Dick Enberg Talks About How He Met Ernie Harwell [AUDIO]

Wednesday morning, the baseball winter meetings in San Diego started with legendary broadcaster and Michigan native Dick Enberg learning he is now a Hall of Famer. Enberg, who attended Central Michigan University and grew up in Mount Pleasant won the Ford C. Frick Award for excellence in baseball broadcasting and will be inducted in the baseball Hall of Fame this coming summer in the broadcasting wing.

While addressing the media, Enberg mentioned Detroit Tiger broadcasting legend Ernie Harwell multiple times as he talked about his long illustrious career.

Since Enberg is no stranger to Michigan, I figured he might have a cool story about how he met Harwell or at least how he was influenced by the longtime Tiger announcer?
