DIA Statement: Supports Grand Bargain, Raises Objections To Detroit Creditors' Demands
DETROIT (WWJ) - The Detroit Institute of Arts has filed a response to objections by Detroit creditors to the Grand Bargain.
Representatives of the DIA released a statement saying its art is legally protected from being sold off.
The city of Detroit is defending its bankruptcy plan, saying a plan to spin-off the DIA is legal.
The Grand Bargain would provide more than $800-million to help Detroit pensioners and safeguard the DIA art collection.
