Detroit's Ihedigbo, New York's Beckham Inactive

DETROIT (AP) — Lions safety James Ihedigbo is inactive for Monday night's game against the New York Giants, leaving Detroit's suspect secondary short-handed for the season opener.

Ihedigbo has been dealing with knee and neck injuries. He was one of Detroit's biggest offseason acquisitions, brought in to help replace Louis Delmas at safety.

The Giants, meanwhile, are without wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. (hamstring). Linebacker Jon Beason (foot) is active for New York, but tackle James Brewer (back) is out.

Detroit receivers Kevin Ogletree and Ryan Broyles are inactive, along with quarterback Kellen Moore, safety Don Carey, tackle Cornelius Lucas and defensive end Larry Webster.

Tackle Charles Brown, defensive end Kerry Wynn, defensive tackles Markus Kuhn and Jay Bromley are inactive for New York.
