Detroit Zoo To Feature Award-Winning Wildlife Photography

ROYAL OAK, Mich. (AP) - A collection of images from the world's largest wildlife photography competition will make its US debut at the Detroit Zoo.

The Wildlife Photographer of the Year exhibition opens Friday and runs through June 1 at the zoo's Ford Education Center.

The exhibition features winners from this year's competition. One hundred images were chosen from about 42,000 entries by photographers from 96 countries.

Zoo CEO Ron Kagan says in a news release the exhibition features "incredible images" representing "the skill and perfect timing of the photographers."

The zoo is located in the Detroit suburb of Royal Oak.
