DETROIT (WWJ) - If you're making plans to use the Detroit Windsor Tunnel on Sunday morning, you might want to think twice.

The Detroit Windsor Tunnel will be closed on Sunday, April 27, from 7 until 10 a.m. for a first responder training exercise.

The drill, which takes place annually, will involve the Detroit Office of Homeland Security, the U.S. Customs and Border Protection, and the Canada Border Services Agency.

Motorists who need to cross the border during this time can use the Ambassador Bridge as an alternate route. If you feel like driving a little further north, you could also take the Blue Water Bridge in Port Huron.

For the latest from the roads, stay with WWJ Newsradio 950 during Traffic and Weather on the 8s, 24-hours a day. Check for recent incidents now on the CBS Detroit Traffic Page.
