Detroit Tops List Of Most Stressed Cities In America
DETROIT (WWJ) - When it comes to the most stressed city in America, the Motor City takes the whole shebang.
Detroit was recently ranked as the most stressed city in the U.S. by personal finance site WalletHub.
In order to identify where Americans cope with stress better than others, the website ranked 150 big cities based on 27 key metrics, including average work hours, debt load, divorce and suicide rates.
The ranking says Detroit has the highest unemployment rate among the cities, 12.4 percent, and the highest poverty rate, 39.8 percent. Detroit also has the highest number of violent crimes per 1,000 residents, at 19.89, the lowest credit score, and the third highest divorce rate.
