Detroit Teen Sneaks Out Through Bedroom Window, Disappears

DETROIT (WWJ) - Detroit police are asking the public for help locating a 14-year-old girl who has been missing for three weeks.

Police say Alexis Sanders was last seen around 11 p.m. on Tuesday, January 5 at her home in the 10000 block of Stratman, in an east side neighborhood near Hayes and Outer Drive.

Alexis left out of her bedroom window without telling anyone, according to police, and she hasn't been seen or heard from since.

Police say Alexis is a habitual runaway, but she has never been gone this long.

Alexis is described as a black female with a medium complexion, 5'1" tall and 107 lbs. with brown eyes and short brown hair. She was last seen wearing a gray and black shirt, gray jogging pants and gray UGG boots.
