Detroit Red Wings Make 2-Day Statewide Tour

DETROIT (AP) — The Detroit Red Wings are making a two-day statewide tour on their way to training camp in Traverse City.

The team says seven stops featuring 24 players are scheduled for the sixth annual MI Wings Community Tour on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Tour stops are closed to the public.

Tuesday stops include visits to a Detroit Fire Department engine house, a Motor City Blight Busters worksite and C.S. Mott Children's Hospital in Ann Arbor.

Planned Wednesday stops are with the Michigan National Guard in Lansing, Kids' Food Basket in Grand Rapids, Covenant HealthCare in Saginaw and a rally at Franklin elementary school in Cadillac. The tour is presented by Novi-based ITC Holdings Corp.
