Detroit Policewoman Suspended After Arrest At Hamtramck Bar

DETROIT (WWJ) - Detroit police say an officer has been suspended with pay after she was arrested at a Hamtramck bar overnight.

The officer, identified in reports as Deloma Stone, was arrested for disorderly conduct early Wednesday morning. Reports say the incident involved assault, although other details were not immediately clear. She was off-duty at the time.

Stone, 38, has been working for the Detroit Police Department for more than ten years. Reports say she has a history of past arrests for various drunken and domestic incidents. More recently, Stone was charged in February with being in possession of a firearm under the influence.

Detroit police say an internal investigation is ongoing.
