Detroit Police Searching For Missing Teen Who Didn't Come Home From School
DETROIT (WWJ) -- Detroit police are asking the public's help locating a teen who went missing on Friday.
Jerel Johnson Jr., 16, was last seen by his father on Friday at 7:45 a.m., after dropping him off at school on Conant at Charles Street, near E. Davison, on the city's east side. Later that morning, Johnson's father received a text from him, stating that he would be staying after school for an hour to play basketball.
When Johnson's father returned to the school to pick him up, Jerel was nowhere to be found. This is the first time that Johnson has been missing.
Johnson is described as a black male, 5-foot-7 and 130 pounds, with a slim build, light brown complexion, brown eyes and short black afro. He was last seen wearing a black shirt, black jeans, black coat with fur on the hood and red and black Nike shoes.
Johnson is in good physical and mental condition.
