Detroit Police Search For Suspect In Man's Shooting Death

DETROIT (WWJ) - Police are searching for the gunman who killed a 26-year-old man on Detroit's west side.

The shooting took place around 11:35 p.m. Tuesday at the Northlawn Garden Apartments in the 9500 block of Northlawn, near Chicago Avenue and Oakman Boulevard just west of I-96.

Police say the man, whose name was not released, was shot multiple times. He was taken to a local hospital where he later died.

Police are now looking for the gunman, but were not immediately able to provide a description.
