Detroit Police Search For 13-Year-Old Who Disappeared After Leaving School

DETROIT (WWJ) - Detroit police are asking the public for help locating a 13-year-old boy who disappeared after leaving school on the city's west side.

Police say David Taylor was dropped off at school in the 19400 block Sawyer, near Tireman Avenue and Evergreen Road, around 8 a.m. Thursday. When an attempt to pick him up from the school was made at 3:20 p.m., he was nowhere to be found.

Taylor's family told police that the school said he reported to all of his classes, and that he was seen walking out of the school with a classmate. No one has seen or heard from him since.

Taylor is described as a black male about 5'1" tall with a slim build, black hair and brown eyes. He also has a scar on the right side of his head. He was last seen wearing khaki pants, a blue shirt, black tie, black shoes and a tan and green sport coat.
