Detroit Police Officer, Suspect Injured When Gun Goes Off

DETROIT (AP) - Detroit police say a police officer and a man the officer was trying to apprehend were injured when the suspect's gun went off during an altercation.

Police say the suspect was shot in the hand and the bullet grazed the hand of the police officer. The altercation occurred just before midnight Saturday.

Police say both the officer and the suspect were taken to the hospital and were in stable condition.
