Detroit Police Ban Chokeholds In Updated Use Of Force Policy

(CBS DETROIT) - Detroit police are banning the use of chokeholds in its updated use of force policy.

Among those updates include more emphasis on de-escalation tactics and excessive force intervention.

Police are also prohibited to shoot from a moving vehicle.

Officers must also make special considerations when dealing with vulnerable populations.
