Detroit Metro Airport face flight cancellations, delays after winter storm
Detroit Metro Airport is dealing with over 450 delays and dozens of cancellations after a winter storm swept through Southeast Michigan, FlightAware said Sunday night.
As of 10:30 p.m., 25 flights that were scheduled to depart the Romulus-based airport on Sunday have been canceled, and 272 have been delayed.
For flights scheduled to arrive at DTW Airport, 29 have been canceled and 198 have been delayed as of 10:30 p.m., FlightAware said.
Many cities in Southeast Michigan measured between 3 and 5 inches of snow on Sunday following the storm.
The airport dealt with over 300 delays and over 40 cancellations on Saturday while the storm was passing through, according to FlightAware.
