Detroit Men Accused Of Attacking Woman, Stealing Her Juice Boxes

DEARBORN (WWJ) - Two young men accused of attacking a woman unloading groceries and stealing a 40-pack of juice boxes are now facing charges in the case.

Aaron Hargrove, 21, and Stephon Webster, 18, were arraigned Tuesday in 19th District Court on charges of unarmed robbery. Both were ordered held on $25,000 bonds.

The charges stem from an incident that occurred around 12:30 a.m. last Thursday in the 4800 block of Palmer Street, in a neighborhood just north of Michigan Avenue and Greenfield Road in Dearborn.

The victim told police she was unloading groceries from her vehicle at the side of her house when she was approached by two men. One of the men allegedly grabbed her from behind and told her not to scream.

The victim said she struggled with the suspect to get away and started to scream when he punched her in the face and head, according to police.

Before the suspects fled the scene, they grabbed a 40-pack of HI-C juice boxes from the woman's vehicle, police said.

The victim was able to give a detailed description of the suspects which led to the arrests of  Webster and Hargrove, both of Detroit.

"These individuals turned a seemingly minor crime of opportunity into a violent crime when they allegedly struck the victim," Dearborn Police Chief Ronald Haddad said in a statement. "We remind residents to maintain a well-lighted area around their houses at night in order to deter these types of crimes, especially during the holiday season."
