Detroit Lions Sign Former CMU Tight End Deon Butler

DETROIT (CBS Detroit) -- The Detroit Lions have signed former Central Michigan University tight end Deon Butler on Saturday to fill a roster spot.

As a senior, Butler caught 30 passes for 424 yards and one touchdown.

The Lions are already set at tight end with Eric Ebron, Brandon Pettigrew and Joseph Fauria, so Butler will likely bring training camp depth.
