Detroit Historical Museum To Present 'Motown Black & White' Exhibit

DETROIT (AP) — The Detroit Historical Museum is presenting a photo exhibit on the Motown music empire.

Motown Black & White started this weekend and runs through July 3 in the museum's Community Gallery.

The exhibit also includes some artifacts and is based on Al Abrams' book, "Hype & Soul: Behind the Scenes at Motown."

An invitation-only red carpet premier will be held Thursday.

The late-Abrams was Motown's press officer. A distinguished music award will be awarded posthumously to Abrams on April 29 during the Detroit Music Awards at the Fillmore Theatre.
