Detroit EMS Worker Arrested On Child Porn Charges

CLINTON TWP. (WWJ) - A Detroit EMS worker is locked up in the Macomb County jail, facing child pornography charges.

A source talking to WWJ's Charlie Langton said the man is scheduled to be arraigned in Clinton Township at 1:30 p.m. Friday — at which time his name will be made public.

Macomb County Sheriff's deputies arrested the suspect who is in his 40s, on Wednesday.  Langton reports it is alleged that the man was in possession of sexually abusive material, including videos and pictures, involving children.

Detroit's fire commissioner, meantime, told WXYZ-TV in a statement that the employee has been suspended without pay. He said he couldn't comment on an active criminal investigation, but added that the department has contacted the state to explore the possible revocation of his medic license.
