Detroit Cop Accused Of Being Drunk With Firearm

DETROIT (WWJ) - A Detroit police officer has been arraigned on a charge of being in possession of a firearm under the influence.

Witnesses says that 38-year-old Deloma Stone was drunk while carrying her department-issued weapon at a bar in the 1800-block of 8 Mile Road in Detroit the night of Feb. 23.

According to the Wayne County Prosecutor's Office, police were called to the scene and Stone was arrested.

She was arraigned in 36th District Court Thursday morning and released on a $100 bond. The misdemeanor charge carries a maximum penalty of up to three months in jail.

Stone will be back in court for a pre-trial hearing on April 14 at 9 a.m.
