Detroit Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream Shop Closed For Good

DETROIT (WWJ) - It's some of the worst news for ice cream lovers in Detroit.

According to reports, the Ben & Jerry's ice cream shop along Woodward Avenue closed its doors on Wednesday for good.

The shop had been run for the last 10 years by Goodwill Industries of Greater Detroit, which provided job opportunities and training for area youth. Even though the shop is closing, Goodwill said they plan to continue the job training program elsewhere.

It's unclear if any plans are in the works to open a new Ben & Jerry's location in the metro area.
