Detroit Based Marine Terminal Hit With Numerous Safety Violations After Worker's Death

DETROIT (WWJ/AP) - Following the death of a worker who was hit by a forklift , the government has cited a Detroit based marine terminal with nine safety violations.

The incident occurred last November when the worker was struck by a 62,000 pound-capacity forklift carrying a 40,000 pound steel coil.

Among other things, the Nicholson Terminal and Dock Company was cited for failing to properly train employees, and failing to conduct monthly safety inspections.
