Detroit-Based LevelEleven Heading To Google HQ

By Edward Cardenas

DETROIT (CBS Detroit) - Detroit-based start-up LevelEleven will travel to Google's headquarters in California next week to pitch their business to panel of entrepreneurs for a chance to receive additional funding.

LevelEleven, a sales performance platform used by companies including Symantec, ReadyTalk, Akamai and Pandora, was selected by Google to travel to the company's Mountain View headquarters to compete in a national Demo Day  April 2.

"It's so great to see a company like Google take an interest in the emerging technology scene here in Detroit," said Bob Marsh, CEO of LevelEleven, in a release. "I'm thrilled to be the company headed out west to represent the innovative things happening in our city."

The company was one of 60 Metro-Detroit start-up companies seeking funding which initially applied to be part of the Second Annual Google Demo Day Detroit, with 11 were selected to pitch at the event at Grand Circus in Detroit.

A panel of judges selected three companies from the finalists which were submitted to Google. The tech company selected LevelEleven as the local company to head to California.

At the Demo Day in California, each startup will have five minutes to pitch, followed by three minutes of question and answer from an investor panel that includes Steve Case from Revolution Ventures, Ann Winblad from Hummer Winblad Venture Partners, and Blake Byers  from Google Ventures.

"Our company is compelling to investors because our team has done such a great job taking this product to market and helping our customers be successful," Bob added. "Hopefully the judges out in Mountain View will feel the same way and further get behind what we're doing."

LevelEleven was named by Salesforce in 2015 as one of the "Top 8 Apps to Help Your Sales Soar," and currently has investors including Detroit Venture Partners and Salesforce Ventures.
