Detonated Explosive Device Discovered On Train Tracks At 8 Mile, Hoover
WARREN (WWJ) - Police and FBI investigating after an explosive device was detonated on railroad tracks in Warren near 8 Mile and Hoover roads.
Authorities are releasing few details regarding the explosion but confirmed with WWJ that the device is a "small metal pot," similar to a pressure cooker.

Michigan State Police confirm to WWJ that an engine pulling 20 cars on the Canadian Railroad Tracks was on the tracks - the engineer heard and felt the explosion which was on the track. No damage to the rail -- or to the train. MSP bomb squad, along with Warren police and Canadian Railroad police searched a mile area up and down the track -- and did not locate any other devices.
Authorities are continuing to investigate in the area.
