Leary, who is the executive producer of the film, says he believes people who watch it will be moved by the film. He said, "When they watch 'Burn' -- what they're doing is engaging with the Detroit Fire Department but also thinking let me get in touch with my firefighters here. Because I'm hearing that story everywhere. I never went into a firehouse in my own neighborhood or in my own town -- then I saw 'Burn' and I thought maybe I should stop in and see what these guys do for a living and who they are." The screening of "Burn" is scheduled for The Fillmore in Detroit at 7:30 p.m. for Thursday, May 22. 100% of the profits from the screening will go to the Leary Firefighters Foundation to benefit Detroit firefighters. For screening info call (313) 961-5451. Tickets are $18 at the door, $12.50 in advance at brownpapertickets.com.
