Death Of Man Found Stabbed With Zip Ties Around Neck At Romulus Park Ruled Suicide

ROMULUS (WWJ) - Although the case started as a murder investigation, officials say the death of a man who was found stabbed and strangled at a Downriver park has been ruled a suicide.

The Wayne County Medical Examiner on Friday said 21-year-old Brandon Mahon died of a stab wound to the chest and ligature strangulation.

Michigan State Police say investigators initially thought Mahon had been murdered until autopsy results provided critical information in the case.
