Death Of Employee Crushed Between Vehicles Ruled Accidental

DETROIT (WWJ/AP) - Officials say the death of a man who was crushed between two tractor trailers while working in southwest Detroit has been ruled accidental.

The accident happened early Wednesday morning at Logistics Insight on Central and John Kronk streets, just south of I-94.

Fire officials said 23-year-old Nurzhigit Kaparbekov was found in the company's truck yard, crushed between two vehicles. Kaparbekov died before crews were able to get him to the hospital. The official cause of death was traumatic asphyxia.

Michigan Occupational Safety and Health Administration spokeswoman Andrea Miller says the agency has opened an investigation.
