Dead 11-Month-Old Baby Dropped Off At Detroit Hospital [VIDEO]

DETROIT (WWJ) - Police in Detroit have more questions than answers after a deceased 11-month-old baby was dropped off at a hospital on the city's east side.

Officials say the baby boy was brought to St. John's Hospital by his father just before 5:30 a.m. Thursday and was pronounced dead.

The child had no obvious signs of injuries or trauma and the cause of death wasn't immediately clear.

Investigators tell WWJ it appears the mother or father accidentally rolled on the baby and suffocated the child while he was asleep in their bed.

Police are now at the family's home near Warren Avenue and Connor Street, trying to figure out exactly what happened. An investigation is ongoing.
