DETROIT (AP) - Detroit police are investigating a fatal accident involving a DDOT bus and passenger Saturday morning.

Authorities say the victim - a man in his 50s - had just gotten off the bus on Van Dyke and was removing his bike from the front rack. The driver struck the man, dragging him for several feet before realizing what happened.

Police say the 15-year veteran driver is off duty and scheduled to undergo drug and alcohol testing. 10 people were on the bus at the time of the accident.
