DDOT Bus Slams Into Semi-Truck On Detroit's East Side

DETROIT (WWJ) - A Detroit Department of Transportation bus has been involved in an accident with a semi-truck on the city's east side.

The accident happened Wednesday morning on Moross at Chandler Park Drive, across the street from St. John Hospital.

The bus slammed into the back of a U.S. Postal Service semi-truck. No passengers were on the bus at the time.

"The back of this semi is crushed in and the front of the DDOT bus is completely caved in all the way back through the driver seat," WWJ's Bill Szumanski reported from above the scene in Chopper 950.

The bus driver and truck driver were both taken to the hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

The accident remains under investigation.
