(97.1 THE TICKET) -- As we all know, left-handed ace David Price was dealt from the Rays to the Tigers in a blockbuster deal minutes before the trade deadline on Thursday, but Price himself was a little hazy on when the actual deadline was.
In an interview following his last start for the Rays on Wednesday afternoon, Price was asked about what he was going to do leading up the deadline after his name had been discussed for weeks about possibly being moved. Apparently, he thought the deadline was Wednesday and not Thursday, so he scheduled a tee time for deadline day.
Price admitted that he keeps his phone in his bag, so he probably didn't find out until after his round.
