CBS DETROIT - Detroit Tigers starting pitcher David Price is among 175 players who have filed for arbitration, according to Sports Illustrated. Price made $14 million in 2014.

Price, who won the Cy Young in 2012, came to the Tigers in a deadline deal last season and recorded a 3.59 ERA in 11 starts for Detroit. Before being traded, he had turned in a 3.11 ERA in 23 starts for the Tampa Bay Rays.

Justin Verlander and Anibal Sanchez both dealt with injuries in 2014, and Max Scherzer may depart in free agency, so Price is expected to be the staff ace this season.

Unless Price signs a contract extension with the Tigers, he will be a free agent in 2016.
