DETROIT (CBS DETROIT) - The Michigan State Spartans had been dancing after wins all season, nine in a row going into Wednesday night's Rose Bowl. When the clock expired New Year's Day, the Spartans got to dance again.

In the 100th edition of the Rose Bowl, the Spartans prevailed against the Stanford Cardinal. Michigan State got a shock the week leading up to the game when two-time captain and All-Big Ten linebacker Max Bullough, whose father and grandfather both played for the Spartans, was suspended for the game.

Nevertheless, Michigan State walked away with its first Rose Bowl since 1988, and Bullough's replacement - fifth-year senior and former walk-on Kyler Elsworth - made the game-saving tackle and won Defensive MVP.

Spartans players and coaches had been dancing to the song "Type of Way" by rapper Richie Homie Quan all season, and the tradition continued Wednesday.

By the end of the video, even university president Lou Anna Simon was participating.
