Crews Work To Repair Massive Sinkhole On Detroit's West Side [PHOTOS]
DETROIT (WWJ) - Crews are working to make repairs to a "ginormous" sinkhole on Detroit's west side.
Authorities say the sinkhole at Tireman just west of Greenfield Road is the result of a collapsed sewer pipe. WWJ's Laura Bonnell described it as the size of a small bus, and said it measures about 6 to 8 feet deep and 4 feet wide.
Crews immediately went to work repairing the sinkhole after it was discovered Thursday afternoon. Officials said Friday morning they're not sure how long repairs are going to take.
