Crews In Plymouth Work To Repair Two Water Main Breaks In Below Freezing Temps

PLYMOUTH (WWJ) - Crews in Plymouth are fighting below freezing temperatures as they work to repair two separate water main breaks in the city.

The first break is located along Penniman between Arthur and Church Street. The other break is along Ann Arbor Trail between Sheldon and Evergreen.

City officials say crews responded to both breaks overnight Wednesday.

Crews are currently working to complete repairs to the Penniman water main. Once that issue is addressed, crews they will move to Ann Arbor Trail to make repairs in that area.

Despite the breaks, city officials say the water system remains safe and secure. Residents in the immediate area can anticipate lower than normal water pressures while crews make repairs. Officials say residents who experience discolored water should run the cold water tap for a few minutes and the water should clear up.

Residents with questions or concerns can contact the city at 734-453-7737.
