Could A String Of Robberies In Grosse Pointe Woods Be Connected To 6 Arrested In Detroit?

GROSSE POINTE WOODS (WWJ) - A task force of east side police agencies may have made a break in a series of home invasions in Grosse Pointe Woods.

According to the online site Nixle, police arrested six people after receiving a report of a home invasion and a description of suspects. Authorities say they went to a home in Detroit where they saw the suspects taking the alleged stolen items into the home.

Additional officers were called in, and police executed a search warrant.

Investigators say they retrieved stolen property including electronics, jewelry and two additional vehicles one of which was reported to be stolen.

If charged, the six face a range of criminal offenses including home invasion and possession of stolen property which includes the stolen vehicle.
