Construction restricting traffic lanes on Eight Mile Road in Southfield

Temps falling today with a chance for snow

Part of Eight Mile Road in Oakland County, Michigan, will be reduced to one lane of travel for about three weeks. 

The City of Southfield said construction begins Wednesday along westbound Eight Mile Road, between Telegraph Road and Inkster Road.  

The Michigan Department of Transportation is handling the work, which includes emergency water and sewer pipe repairs.
