PENINSULA TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) - Authorities say the death of a 49-year-old woman whose body was found last month on a private beach in northern Michigan has been ruled accidental.

An autopsy conducted on the body of Sonja Olshove determined that she drowned. According to autopsy results released Tuesday, there were no signs of foul play.

Olshove's body was found Sept. 4 on Old Mission Peninsula in Peninsula Township. The Grand Traverse County sheriff's office says Olshove lived on Old Mission Peninsula, off Grand Traverse Bay.

She taught at Northwestern Michigan College in Traverse City.
