Cold Justice: With Help From TV Show, Man Convicted In Flint Rape Case

FLINT (AP) - A prosecutor is giving some credit to a cable TV show for the conviction of a man in a 2012 sexual assault in Flint.

Marcel Robinson was convicted Friday of first-degree criminal sexual conduct.

The Genesee County prosecutor's office says evidence was not processed until this year when TNT show "Cold Justice" offered to pay to test some of the hundreds of kits held by Flint police.

The 25-year-old Robinson was accused of assaulting a woman after an argument at his home three years ago. He faces up to life in prison on Oct. 19.
