By Edward Cardenas

DETROIT (CBS Detroit) - Lisa Cardwell hopes the 2014 Comerica Hatch Detroit Contest presented by the Detroit Lions will allow her to bring her full-service breakfast and lunch concept to Detroit's "Avenue of Fashion."

Cardwell's concept, Cockadoodle, was one of 10 semi-finalists announced in the competition to win a $50,000 grant from Comerica Bank and legal, marketing, accounting and IT support from Hatch Detroit.

She is planning on using "hot-smoked chickens—offered whole, and transformed into such items as our smoked-chicken and apple hash, and curried-smoked chicken salad," according to organizers.

To cast a vote for the best business plan, visit the Hatch Detroit website.
Voters have until 11:59 p.m. Thursday to cast a vote for their favorite business.
CBS Detroit will be posting profiles of all the Hatch Detroit semi-finalists.
