Michigan State hosts John Bonamego's Central Michigan Chippewas Saturday afternoon in East Lansing. Many expect it to be a blowout.
From my 32 years living in southeastern Michigan, I've learned if you go to Central, Western or Eastern Michigan University, you usually are still a fan of Michigan or Michigan State.
Chippewas' head coach John Bonamego doesn't want to see Central students wearing green and white though.
Here's the quote from @CMUCoachBono about CMU students supporting Michigan State. Amen. pic.twitter.com/qMiVn4R43F

"If you're not wearing maroon and gold you're really not with us," he wrote.
Those are strong words and I don't really agree with him. Just because you go to a college doesn't mean you have to be a die hard fan for their athletic teams. Imagine if all Michigan fans had to be grads? The Big House would be the empty house.
Because I went to Macomb Community College, does that mean I can't support the Michigan State Spartans -- the team I grew up loving?
What are your thoughts on Bonamego's comments? Should Central students only wear maroon and gold or should the coach grow a thicker skin?
