Cleveland St. Tops Oakland 92-85; 29 3s Made

ROCHESTER, Mich. (AP) — Charlie Lee scored a career-high 31 points and Cleveland State made 14 3-pointers to overcome record-setting long-range shooter Travis Bader and Oakland's 15 3-pointers for a 92-85 win Thursday night.

Lee made 6 of 8 3-point attempts and all 11 of his free throws while Bader hit 10 of 13 3-point tries en route to 35 points. CSU (16-9, 7-3 Horizon) shot 60 percent overall, 60.9 from 3-point range, while the Golden Grizzlies (9-16, 4-6) shot 54.2 percent overall, 51.7 from 3-point range.

Bader set the NCAA record for career 3-pointers at Milwaukee on Sunday. He now has 471.

The game was tied with 3:35 left. Two 3-pointers put the Vikings up six. Bader was fouled on a 3-point try and made three free throws with 53 seconds left, but six straight free throws by Lee clinched the victory.

CSU is in second place, two games back of Green Bay.
