They have a lot in common.

Both Clayton Kershaw and Matthew Stafford went to Highland Park High School in Texas, both played football and baseball in high school, and both ended up highly successful professional athletes.

Now with the Dodgers, Kershaw won the NL Cy Young in 2011 and 2013 and also the Triple Crown for pitchers in 2011. Stafford was the first overall pick in the 2009 NFL Draft.

It's pretty unique that two athletes from the same high school wind up being this high profiled in the professional ranks.

"Matthew and I grew up playing every sport together," Kershaw said, adding, "He was a good guy, fun to be around."

He added: "I couldn't really keep up with Matthew too well."

I had the chance to talk to Kershaw about his relationship with Stafford -- Could he have been a QB? -- And if he's a Lions fan.
